Ryan Newman, Oscar Mayer Head to the Classroom Before Chicagoland
Oscar Mayer Hotdoggers Give Newman a Lesson on Riding “Shotbun” in the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile
Public Company Information:
PITTSBURGH & CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Fasten your “meatbelts” — Oscar Mayer and NASCAR driver Ryan Newman are heading to the hot dog brand’s hometown of Chicago for the Camping World 400 at the Chicagoland Speedway on Sunday, June 30.
For the fourth time this season, Newman will sit behind the wheel of the No. 6 Oscar Mayer Ford Mustang and celebrate the weekend with another set of driving experts: the Oscar Mayer Hotdoggers.
Today, Oscar Mayer released a series of videos of the Hotdoggers — official drivers of the 27-foot Wienermobile — taking Newman back to school with a lesson on riding shotbun in the iconic hot dog on wheels. Fans can check them out on Oscar Mayer’s Facebook, Twitter and YouTube channels to get a peek under the hood of the Wienermobile and the No. 6 Oscar Mayer Ford Mustang.
“With Chicago being home for Oscar Mayer, we’ve pulled out all the stops heading into Chicagoland. We had a lot of fun putting together some fun videos with the Wienermobile that the fans will certainly enjoy,” said Ryan Newman, driver of the No. 6 Ford Mustang. “Being from Indiana, going back to Chicago also reminds me a lot of home, and it’s a fun race track where we’ve had success at over the years. I can’t wait to get our Oscar Mayer Ford on the track and put on a good show for the home crowd.”
As part of a season-long partnership with the brand, Newman has sported many paint schemes that celebrate Oscar Mayer’s quality meat offerings, including bacon, cold cuts and hot dogs. This weekend, Newman will power the No. 6 Oscar Mayer Hot Dog Ford Mustang. Oscar Mayer will return as the primary sponsor of the No. 6 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway and Darlington for Throwback Weekend.
“Oscar Mayer is proud to call Chicago home, and we’re looking forward to having home field advantage this weekend and showing off the No. 6 in our own backyard,” said Matt Riezman, Associate Director of Marketing for Oscar Mayer. “We hope fans of Oscar Mayer Hot Dogs and NASCAR will get a kick out of the Hotdoggers and Ryan swapping tricks of the trade and enjoy the videos with their friends and family.”
